6:35 Journey begins… Depart USM
6:45 - 8:45 Travel to Madison
Meet in the rotunda at 8:55 am. Photo will be taken first, and then we will proceed with a guided tour.
9:00 - 10:00 Guided Tour Capitol with Jim and Jerry
10:00 - 11:00 Guided Tour at the State Historical Museum
11:00 – 11:30 Lunch at the State Historical Museum Bus 1 (Be sure the room is clean and free of spills and litter before leaving.) Self Guide at the State Historical Museum Bus 2
11:30 – 12:00 Lunch at the State Historical Museum Bus 2 (Be sure the room is clean and free of spills and litter before leaving.) Self Guide at the State Historical Museum Bus 1
12:00 - 1:00 Guided Tour at the Veterans Museum
Bus 1will start at the Civil War exhibit for a guided tour Bus 2will start at with the artifact presentation After 30 minutes, we will switch.
Use the bathrooms before getting back on the bus.
1:00 – 2:00 Travel to the Cave of the Mounds Fourth graders need to work on their packet and do some reflecting.
2:00 - 4:00 Guided Tour Cave of the Mounds/Speleoquest
4:00 - 4:30 Travel to Pendarvis in Mineral Point
4:45 – 6:15 Guided Tour at Pendarvis (Cornish Miner’s Settlement) in Mineral Point
6:15 - 6:30 Travel to the Quality Inn in Mineral Point
6:30 – 6:45 Report to assigned motel room, drop off bags, freshen up for dinner
6:45 – 7:15 Taco Dinner at the Quality Inn Please make sure your group is seated throughout and after dinner. Be courteous and make sure everyone has had the opportunity to sit down and eat before your group goes back to get a second helping.
7:15 - 8:00 Organized games with Mr. and Mrs. Keily at the Quality Inn (Chaperones have time to themselves.)
8:00 - 8:30 Bedtime
8:45 Bed checks
Day 2 Friday, May 17, 2013
6:30 - 8:00 Breakfast and checkout 6:40- 6:55 Bongiorno Class eat breakfast 6:55-7:15 Bair Class eat breakfast 7:15-7:30 Sovol Class eat breakfast 7:30-7:45 Tomczak class eat breakfast
Children may not go to breakfast without a chaperone.
8:00 - 8:45 Travel to the Bevans Mine and Rollo Jamison Museum
9:00 - 11:00 Tour Bevans Mine and Rollo Jamison Museum
Bus 1 will tour the Mine first. Bus 2 will go to the Rollo Jamison Museum first.
Use the bathrooms before getting back on the bus.
11:00 – 1:00 Travel to the Milton House Eat sub sandwich lunch on the bus
